Another Baby Shower

I think there is a baby boom!  Baby showers every where!!  This was a 6 in gift box cake with buttercream and a large fondant bow.  They also ordered mini cupcakes which were just adorable!

Sid the Science Kid

He didn't turn out exactly how I had pictured him in my mind, but everyone liked him so it was a success after all.  The cake is the bed, and Sid is made out of fondant and rice crispy treats.

Never Shared This One?

I don't see on the blog where I shared the lego cupcakes that I did back in October.  These were some of my favorite cupcakes I ever did! Enjoy!

Baby Shower Cupcakes

These were for a little girl baby shower.  The hostess had a variety of napkins she wanted to match.  Some were green with black polka dots, dark pink with black polka dots, and then one that was light pink with dark pink, black and green flowers.  So I did the best I could to match the napkins and they loved them!  In fact I received a comment from the hostess, that has to be my favorite comment about an order, ever!

"They turned out amazing, they were a huge hit! Thanks so much!  We all gazed at them for a few hours until someone was brave enough to eat the first one :) haha they tasted even better than they looked. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you I was running all around this morning picking up last minute things. We will do business again and I look forward to meeting you then!"

Enjoy!

Zebra Print

When I got the order for this birthday cake from the husband of the birthday girl, I was not sure how it was going to turn out.  He said he wanted color splotches airbrushed on to the cake.  My choice of colors, it just had to include turquoise, and he wanted zebra stripes over the splotches.  But after making this cake, I thought it looked really neat!  I used deep pink, turquoise, and silver,  with black zebra print over the top and the Happy Birthday message in turquoise.  Enjoy!

Bowling Cake #2 and 1st cake of 2011!

This cake was done for a little girl's birthday party that was held at a bowling alley!  The bowling cakes are starting to become more popular!  This version I put less bowling pins and a ton for starts to give the effect that the ball was crashing into the pins!  So much fun!  Everything was edible, pins, ball, everything.
